The appearance of our homes and the decorations we put on them play a major role in setting up the Holiday Spirit. A good-looking and well decorated house also represents a happy home. Family and friends will also be happy when they come to this place.

It could be a self-expression thing too. Lighting up the façade and hanging ornaments on the tree are nostalgic callbacks to the days of their youth. And who wouldn’t enjoy watching colourful lights in houses when they were a kid? ‘coz I personally enjoyed them a lot on my younger days.

Our homes show the world who we are and what is important to us. When we decorate our homes with lights, it not only brings out the creativity in us but also brings out the true beauty of our homes. Seeing our homes brighten up with beautiful colours is good enough to release stress and anxiety, especially now that we just went through a global pandemic.
We all have our different reasons as to why we put lights on in our beautiful homes during this Holiday season. For me and my family, putting lights on in our beautiful home is a family bonding that we enjoy and look forward to doing every year. But the most important reason is that it helps us express our love for each other.
